The SADC Technical Committe on Certification and Accreditation Meeting, 24-25 April 2025
The Eswatini Qualifications Authority attended the SADC Technical Commitee on Certification and Accreditation meeting in Johannesburg, Sandton from the 24-25 April 2025. This is a platform where Member states report on progress made in relation to implementation of National Qualifications Frameworks and related policies and instruments.
National Referencing Committee Meeting
The Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA)is in the process of referencing the Eswatini Qualifications Framework (ESQF) to the African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF). A national referencing committee, charged with the responsibility of carrying out this activity, has been established and working towards producing the Eswatini report.
3RD ACQF Forum: RPL for Practitioners
The 3rd continental Forum of the institutions of National Qualifications Frameworks", is organised in partnership with the African Union, African Countries, and Regional Economic Communities. this workshop is co- organised with Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) and will take place in Nairobi, from 1 to 4 October 2024, at the Hotel Fairview.
Towards Eswatini RPL Policy and Guidelines: RPL training workshop
This workshop is co-organised by Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) and the ACQF-II project. It gathers representatives from public institutions, education and training community, professional bodies and social partners. The workshop is part of the technical visit to Eswatini, focused on identification and discussion of major features of the future RPL Policy and Guidelines.
Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) and the Institute of Development Management (IDM) consultative workshop
The theme of the facilitation workshop is on the guidelines on registration of Qualifications on the Eswatini Qualifications Framework (ESQF). it took place in Matsapha at the IDM premises on the 20th of September 2024.

Theme: National Qualifications frameworks (NQFs)of new generation, referencing to African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF), quality assurance of NQFs and Green NQFs.
EQA Portfolio Committee on Education and Training workshop
The workshop was held at Hilton Hotel, Mbabane on Thursday, 08 August 2024 between Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA), Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC) and the Portfolio Committee.
